During the lecture, Sandoval demonstrated his love for Taiwan and his courage to discuss sensitive topics. He said that the filming of the film was just unintentional at the beginning. The subject matter happened to attract the attention of Taiwanese people. In fact, it is not just us. Citizens from all over the world are bound to be curious about how foreigners view their own country and nation. However, blindly shooting this kind of subject sometimes inevitably results in trying to please the masses, so we will only talk about the good parts and avoid talking about the bad parts. But Sandoval did not. He still had the courage to say what he thought we could improve. For example, many media outlets often ignore the facts and rush to report with sensational headlines for the sake of exclusivity and attention-grabbing. However, many Taiwanese netizens often attack the other party indiscriminately whenever they see parts that criticize Taiwan. As a result, domestic and foreign YouTubers seem to be able to only praise Taiwan's good qualities but cannot expose its shortcomings. In fact, we should treat any comments about Taiwan with a calm mind. If it is unreasonable, we can argue, but if it is true, we should reflect on and improve, and we should not let talking about Taiwan become a one-note speech.
I admire Sandoval's love for Taiwan very much, which makes him dare to speak out for Taiwan on social media more than the rest of us, and even delve into relevant history in order to understand Taiwan. A foreigner actually loves our country more than we do. We should reflect on how much we love and understand our country?
But what makes Sandoval most unique and controversial is that he dares to discuss Taiwan's political issues in the international community. The relationship between us and China is complicated, and even every Taiwanese has a different view. This is also As a result, talking about politics has become a taboo in Taiwan. However, I feel that firmness in freedom, democracy, the implementation of human rights, and the rule of law are universal values. They are also the most valuable aspects of our current Taiwanese society. They are also our bottom line and must not be compromised! Expressing opinions on Taiwan Strait issues is actually a huge blow to the Chinese Communist regime, which is a kind of extremely dangerous provocation, but Sandoval is fearless and has the courage to express his opinions and insistence on Taiwan. I also deeply hope that one day I can be like him, bravely and rationally expressing my opinions. Even if we are attacked, we must let like-minded people know that they are not alone. We will work together to uphold the bottom line of freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
Finally, I would like to thank Sandoval. In addition to the above-mentioned reasons, Sandoval also expressed that "the moon is not rounder abroad." It is true that Taiwanese society still has many things that can be improved, but we often only see that improvements can be made, but have never made any changes, and even never thought about how to change them. We only have useless verbal criticism. It is exactly because Taiwan is not good enough, so we should love our country, Taiwan. It needs our united efforts, whether it is to cope with shortcomings or stick to the bottom line, as Jiang Weishui said, "Compatriots must unite, unity is really powerful."

It was my first time to attend a lecture at the Center for General Studies, and it was also my first time to attend a lecture in English. Honestly , I didn't know who "Jesus" was at first. Since the topic was related to YouTubers, the topic I’m interested in, I decided to sign up for it. 
In the past, I used to get drowsy in the midest of a long presentation, but this time I stayed until the last minute because Jesus’s speech was so fun that I totally forget about the time!
Through the content he delivered, I realized how difficult the career of YouTuber is. In order to make money, he had to take on all kinds of business matches, and had no choice but to say some comments that went against his will. I have dreamed of being a YouTuber due to those I like on the Net. To be frank, in my old perspectives , I thought this job profits simply owing to amounts of sponsors. However; there’s no denying that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. They overcome the hurdles, becoming influencers.
Jesus, who couldn’t stand it anymore, began to shoot according to his self-consciousness. Although the traffic of online videos is not as good as before, he is very glad that he can be so honest with himself. By knowing how hard Jesus came to Taiwan to settle down and how he found his ideal state, I commence to figure out the life I want. Not only the job in the future, but also the relationship I deal with. Sometimes I assume that I keep the same mentality as Jesus, but it turns out to be a situation which make me awkward. As a college student, perhaps I’m not able to have the influence on this society like him, but I hope that I can emulate him and live a unique, not rich, but self-fulfilling life.

After listening to the speech, I deeply benefited a lot. Not only did this improve my ability to express myself, it also helped me find what makes me unique. The speaker shared the experience of a Youtuber, which made me deeply understand the hard work and fun in the creative process. He emphasized the importance of content, how to engage an audience and maintain creative enthusiasm. On the other hand, the speaker also shared his journey of coming to Taiwan to become a video creator.

  Overall, I benefited a lot from this speech and oral expression course. It not only improved my expressive ability, but also inspired my views on things I like and like. If I like it, I will be brave enough to pursue my dreams. I look forward to applying this knowledge to my future work and life.

  I would also like to thank the school for organizing this type of event, which allowed me to experience the hard work of talking between different professions.

Jesús 是我看過最愛台灣的外國人，甚至比台灣人還愛台灣，而對於中國可能會給予的警告，他也不害怕，當時聽到他的勇氣，我開始也在思考，我對台灣的熱情。Jesús 曾提出一個疑惑，為什麼台灣人要說自己不好，說貶低自己國家的話，我覺得跟他之後提到的他做了Dawn!I LOVE Taiwan的帽子成對比，或許當外國人來到台灣，用不同於我們的眼光來看台灣，不被台灣既有的負面價值觀影響，能帶給我們大家更積極的想法。我從國中就在看Jesús 的阿斗啊不教美語，而今天的演講讓我很開心，能親眼看到本人，也更能知道Jesús 更多的故事，覺得很榮幸！！
