Grading

No score is given for the Social Practice course, the result will only be shown as "Pass" or "Fail" in your transcript. Thus, it will not affect your GPA.

Closure report submission

Please submit the closure report by December 12, 2025.

※We recommend reminding your supervisor to complete the review of the closure report after submission.

※If your supervisor will not be teaching at NTUST in the next semester, kindly ensure they complete the review before the end of the current semester.

 

Exemption

If you obtained credits for an off-campus internship, you will be eligible for exemption of the Social Practice course. No additional exemption application is necessary.

※If you do not see the verification of the exemption in the grading system, please notify the Office of Academic Affairs, Division of the Registrar.

FAQs

Q1. How to conduct the project review with the supervisor?

There is no standard format for reflection and feedback between student and supervisor. It may be a face-to-face conversation, you may be asked to submit an audio-visual record, or prepare a written report, etc. After a supervisor is selected via the system, it will automatically send an email invitation to the selected supervisor, asking if they are willing to take on the role. The supervisors will have to log in to the system and click "Agree." Please discuss with your professors first if they are willing to be supervisors of your project. Remember to take a photo during the project review session or prepare a related image which needs to be uploaded when you are writing the closure report (the report is written online, in the course system)

Q2. When will my closure report be approved?

A soon as the closure reports they have been submitted to the course system, supervisors can begin the review process. If you haven't received approval for your closure report several weeks after submission and haven't heard back from your supervisor, kindly remind them to complete the review.

Q3. My supervisor already approved my closure report, and the course system shows that my report is approved. Does it mean that I passed the Social Practice course?

Yes, the CGE will send the list of "Passed" Social Practice projects to the Office of Academic Affairs at the end of the final exam week. If you do not see the "Passed"- verification on the grading system, please notify the Division of the Registrar of the Office of Academic Affairs.
