Call for Submissions: Social Practice EXPO
Have you ever wondered how one idea or one action can make a difference in society?
Whether you have already completed a social practice project or are still developing an idea, we welcome you to bring it to the EXPO!
What kinds of projects are suitable for the EXPO?
As long as your project responds to real social issues or needs through action, creativity, or innovative solutions, we welcome your participation!
Your project could be:
・A practical action inspired by what you have learned in class
・A proposal addressing community, local, or public issues
・An action focusing on issues such as the environment, culture, or education
・A creative proposal that applies your expertise to address social needs
Have a completed project to share? Absolutely!
Still working on your idea? That's welcome too!
Even if your project has not yet been implemented, you can present and showcase it through a simulated proposal.
This year, bring your achievements, ideas, and actions to the EXPO. Share, connect, and explore new possibilities with others!
I. Eligibility The competition is open to teams formed by faculty and students across the National Taiwan University System (NTU System), which includes: National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), and National Taiwan University (NTU). Proposers: The main proposer for each team must be a currently enrolled student from one of the three schools listed above. Team Members: While the proposer must be a current student, other team members can include graduates, provided they are alumni of one of the three NTU System universities. Faculty Advisors: Both full-time and part-time faculty are welcome to serve as advisors. Student/Club Self-Proposals: If your proposal is driven by a student club or is a completely independent student initiative, you can simply write "N/A" in the Faculty Advisor section.
II. Competition Entry Qualifications Your submission must be the result or outcome of a course taken within the last two academic years (113-2 through 115-1). Format is flexible! There are absolutely no restrictions on the format of your work. Stage of Completion: Submissions can be a fully completed project/achievement or a proposal in the conceptual stage. For Ideas/Proposals: If your entry is still an idea or a concept, it must be presented and explained using a simulated plan or mock-up, clearly illustrating your vision and intended impact.

V. Awards
Grand Prize: A grant of NT$10,000 per team (1 team)
Excellence Award: A grant of NT$8,000 per team (2 teams)
Merit Award: A grant of NT$6,000 per team (3 teams)
VI. Competition Subsidies
Teams that successfully pass the preliminary review will receive financial support for their final exhibition: Exhibition Material Subsidy: The organizer will provide a subsidy for the final exhibition material costs, with a maximum of NT$3,000 per team based on actual expenses incurred. Final Exhibition Details: Specific information regarding the final exhibition (logistics, venue setup, etc.) will be sent out separately after the teams are officially selected. Proof of Participation: The organizer can provide official Proof of Participation documents. Team members can use this documentation as supporting evidence when applying for academic or professional leave.
VII. Disbursement
The prize money for this competition will be issued in the form of an Award Grant, not a standard cash prize, which follows specific university funding guidelines: Single Recipient: The entire grant amount will be transferred to the Team Representative who is responsible for receiving the funds on behalf of the whole group. Team Autonomy: The team must independently decide and agree upon the method for distributing the grant among its members. No Disputes Handled: Team members may not raise objections or request mediation from the organizer regarding the internal distribution of the funds.
VIII. Disclaimer
The organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, terminate, or interpret the final rules of this event at any time (including, but not limited to, the right to change the event or to shorten or extend its duration). All changes will be announced on the event's official website. For any team receiving a subsidy, the organizers retain the final right to review and approve eligibility and grant disbursement.
