本課程旨在介紹社會學入門並強調以性別視野檢視社會結構及其相關制度。 本課程著重培養學生的社會學想像力，用以探析父權結構及其衍生之性別議題。本課程強調學術理論與 性別現象之交叉檢視，因此特別要求學生應用相關理論觀點分析國際性別時事或相關政策，以訓練學生具性別敏感度思考社會議題。本課程將以中文授課。
This course introduces students to a sociological perspective of gender analysis, focusing on the various social systems and the related institutions. It also investigates multiple dialogues between postmodernism, post-structuralism, and the politics of difference among gender issues. This course aims to enhance the ability of students to conduct critical analysis and to raise their gender consciousness for research applications within sociology of gender. This class will be taught in Mandarin.
