Call for Submissions: Social Practice EXPO


How Big Is Your Impact?

Ever wondered if what you learn in the classroom can actually make a real difference? Are you ready to light a fire in our community with your innovative ideas?

Whether you're tackling local issues in your neighborhood or championing sustainable development, the 2025 Social Practice EXPO is a perfect stage to showcase your impact!

We sincerely invite all students and faculty from the NTU System to form teams and participate!

I. Who Can Participate?

Teams must be composed of students and faculty from the three universities of the NTU System: National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Taiwan Normal University, and National Taiwan University. The team leader must be a currently enrolled student at one of these three schools. Other team members can include graduates of these universities. Full-time or part-time faculty members can serve as advisors.

Competition Entry Qualifications

Your submission must be the result or outcome of a course taken within the last two academic years (112-2 through 114-1).

•Format is flexible! There are absolutely no restrictions on the format of your work.
• Stage of Completion: Submissions can be a fully completed project/achievement or a proposal in the conceptual stage.
• For Ideas/Proposals: If your entry is still an idea or a concept, it must be presented and explained using a simulated plan or mock-up, clearly illustrating your vision and intended impact.

III. Important Dates

  • Submission Period: Now until Friday, October 17, 2025, at 5:00 PM
  • Finalists Announced: Early November 2025
  • Final Exhibition:
    • Online Exhibition: Submissions must be uploaded to the designated platform by Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
    • Physical Exhibition: Friday, December 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the atrium of the 4th Teaching Building, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.
  • Final Selection and Awards Ceremony: Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4:50 PM to 5:00 PM.

IV. Awards

  • Grand Prize: NT$10,000 grant per team (1 team)
  • Excellence Award: NT$8,000 grant per team (2 teams)
  • Merit Award: NT$6,000 grant per team (3 teams)

V. Participant Subsidies

Teams that pass the preliminary review will receive a subsidy of up to NT$3,000 to cover material costs for their final exhibition. Detailed information about the final exhibition will be sent to accepted teams separately. The organizers can provide proof of participation to help team members with leave requests.

VI. Grant Distribution

The prize money will be issued as a grant to the team representative, who is responsible for distributing it among the team members as they see fit. The organizers will not mediate any disputes regarding the distribution of funds.

VII. Disclaimer

The organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, terminate, or interpret the final rules of this event at any time (including, but not limited to, the right to change the event, or to shorten or extend its duration). All changes will be announced on the event's official website.
