In an age of information overload and powerful generative AI, it's not enough to just use the technology—you need to understand why you're using it and how to use it effectively.

This talk will explore the intersection of information literacy and life education. We'll use real-world examples to unpack the challenges and opportunities that generative AI presents. You'll learn to hone your self-awareness and critical thinking skills, helping you figure out AI's role in your life and studies. The goal is to help you stay in the driver's seat as technology continues to evolve.

Yue Hui chiang

Associate Professor, Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts

Our speaker holds a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently an Associate Professor in the Graduate Program of Life Education at Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts. She also serves as a co-principal investigator for a Ministry of Education program focused on enhancing general education with information technology literacy. Previously, she taught programming to non-computer science majors at National Chengchi University. With a research focus on educational technology and digital learning, and years of experience in information system design and development, she is dedicated to helping students from all backgrounds see how technology connects to their daily lives and encouraging them to creatively use tech to solve problems across different fields.
