課程宗旨

1. 認識文化遺產與永續發展的基本概念 2. 思考文化遺產的存在意義,及其與美學、歷史、社會、政治之間的關係 3. 建構對文化永續的價值觀以及文化保存的積極公民素養

課程大綱

文化遺產是展現人類文明的物質證據,因應社會權力秩序的改變,產生許多當代課題,例如物權、族群、平權、觀光、經濟、環境、倫理等等皆有巨大變化與衝突,在在挑戰文化遺產的定義、目的與價值。本課程以深入淺出方式,探討文化遺產從美學價值起始,轉向近年社會性與政治性的當代挑戰與課題,以及如何與永續發展接軌,並且在永續視野下重回常民生活、豐富人文精神的可能。 本課程為文化遺產與永續發展概論,將以英國遺產保存再生策略與臺灣文資保存狀況相互辯證,培養學生文化公民素養。課程實施包含講授、客座演講、校外參觀、分組討論,內容涵蓋(一)文化遺產概論;(二)台灣文資保存介紹與分析;(三)英國文化遺產保存與再生概況;(四)文化遺產與永續發展議題。 Cultural heritage is the evidence of human civilization. In response to changes in social powers, many contemporary issues have arisen, such as property rights, ethnic groups, social inclusions, tourism, economy, environment protection, ethics, etc., have undergone tremendous changes and conflicts, and are challenging the definition, purpose and value of heritage protection. This course starting from the aesthetic value motivation of heritage protection, turning to the social and political contemporary challenges and issues in recent years, and connect with sustainable development and ordinary people's life. This course is an introduction to cultural heritage and sustainable development. It will compare the strategy of British and Taiwan’s heritage preservation strategies to dialectically cultivate students' civil literacy. The course implementation includes lectures, guest lectures, off-campus visits, and group discussions, covering (1) Introduction to cultural heritage; (2) Introduction and analysis of cultural heritage preservation in Taiwan; (3) Overview of British cultural heritage preservation; (4) Cultural heritage and sustainable development issues.
