First STREAM Immersive Summer School, 1 - 7 July 2024 

The Centre for General Eduaction (CGE) launched its first immersive summer school for high-school students from all over Taiwan on the Taiwan Tech campus in the first week of July 2024.
Led by CGE faculty and enthusiastic student teaching assistants, participants explored social issues and developped solutions for the Chengnan (South Side) area around the Taiwan Tech campus. 
The program aims to cultivate innovative thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Another focus is the use of modern technology such as M-Bots, 3-D printing, and electronic picture books. The cross-disciplinary curriculum is based on the CGE concept of STREAM education which combines STEM education with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math with Reading (critical literacies) and Art.
