課程宗旨

科技發展為促進人類社會進步的主要動力。現今，科技發展中的性別議題與性別政治也漸漸受到國際社會的重視。本課程首先讓學生意識到在科學教育中性別失衡的現象與其成因。之後從社會學、人類學與性別學切入當前性別科技發展中的各項議題。本課程將以全球視角與永續發展目標(SDGs)-聯合國2030年目標，來檢視科技發展中的性別政治，給予學生更宏觀和深入的分析，培養未來具人文關懷的科技專業人才。本課程將全程以英文授課。 Science and technology development is the main driving force to promote the progress of human society. Nowadays, gender issues and gender politics in the development of science and technology have been paid more and more attention by the international community. In this class, firstly, students will be aware of the phenomenon of gender imbalance in science education and its causes. Secondly, I am going to talk about current development of gendered technology from perspectives of sociology, anthropology and gender. Through the course, I will lead students to examine gender politics in science and technology from a global perspective and sustainable development indicators (SDGs) also known as UN 2030 Agenda. This class aims to give students a more macro- and in-depth analysis and cultivating future talented humanities and technology professionals. This course will be taught in English throughout the course.
