課程教學理念與期許
《養生醫學》(抗衰老功能醫學暨美學醫學)自2007年於本校開設以來,深受學生喜愛。曾在不限制人數的情況下,創下上千人報名的紀錄,顯示學生對健康與醫學的高度關注。近年課程調整為每學期限收50人,聚焦於精緻教學與實作體驗。
在科技大學的學習環境中,學生普遍面臨課業壓力、睡眠不足、飲食不均與運動量不足等問題。許多人明知身體不適卻無暇處理,長期處於疲勞與亞健康狀態。這樣的基礎下,難以發揮創造力或持續面對未來職場挑戰。
本課程透過對抗功能衰退及預防器官傷害繼而老化的預防醫學觀點,引導學生了解自我評估身體是否衰退老化與是否處於疾病或健康的狀態,學會食品安全基本概念,看懂食品標籤, 了解,如何尋找是當院所幫自己進行健康評估,並學習調整生活型態:包含壓力管理、睡眠品質改善、健康飲食規劃、營養補充品判讀與運動安排。
此外,課程涵蓋當代醫學發展,包括幹細胞、免疫細胞的研究和對身體的幫助、如何降低戶外、室內的環境毒素接觸與傷害,並安排校外參訪抗衰老預防醫學醫療院所參觀並體驗儀器生理評等,幫助學生理解預防醫學的應用場景與產業前景。藉此也鼓勵學生思考如何將自身專業(如設計、電機、管理、資工、外文等)與健康科技結合,創造跨域價值。
我們期許學生能在本課程中養成以下能力:
1.    建立健康素養,判斷正確資訊並落實日常應用。
2.    透過自我評估與數據認識身體狀態,及早預防與調整。
3.    培養跨域視野,理解醫學科技與生活的連結。
4.    啟發自我關懷與社會責任感,將健康視為永續生活的一環。
健康不是運氣,而是可以學習與設計的生活能力。我們希望這門課成為學生在學期間最有價值的投資,讓青春不再消耗於疲勞,而是透過知識與行動,開啟更長遠的身心能量。
  Course Philosophy and Objectives
“Health-Preserving Medicine”(“Anti-Aging Functional and Aesthetic Medicine” )has been offered at our university since 2007 and has consistently received enthusiastic responses from students. In earlier years, when enrollment was unrestricted, the course attracted over a thousand applicants, demonstrating strong student interest in health and modern medicine. In recent years, the class has been capped at around 50 students per semester to ensure quality instruction and hands-on experiences.
In the context of technical university life, many students struggle with academic stress, lack of sleep, unbalanced diets, and insufficient physical activity. Although aware of their declining health, they often lack the time or resources to seek help, leading to chronic fatigue and suboptimal wellness. Under such conditions, it's difficult to sustain creativity or perform well in future careers.
This course approaches aging prevention through the lens of functional and preventive medicine, guiding students to evaluate their own physiological status, detect signs of degeneration, and recognize whether their current condition is closer to health or disease. Students will also learn basic concepts of food safety, how to read food labels, and how to find reliable medical institutions for health assessments. Practical lifestyle adjustments are emphasized, including stress management, sleep quality improvement, dietary planning, supplement evaluation, and fitness routines.
Additionally, the course explores current medical advancements, such as the applications of stem cell therapy and immune cell research, and how they benefit the human body. It also addresses the impact of environmental toxins, both indoor and outdoor, and how to reduce exposure. Students will participate in field visits to anti-aging and preventive medicine clinics, where they will experience physiological assessment tools firsthand. These opportunities help students understand the real-world applications and industrial potential of preventive healthcare.
Furthermore, the course encourages students to think about how their own academic disciplines—such as design, electrical engineering, management, computer science, or foreign languages—can intersect with health and medical technology, creating new value through interdisciplinary innovation.
By the end of the course, students are expected to:
1.    Develop health literacy and apply accurate health information in daily life.
2.    Use self-assessment tools and data to understand their bodies and take early action for prevention.
3.    Build a cross-disciplinary perspective, recognizing the connection between medical technology and daily living.
4.    Strengthen self-awareness and social responsibility, seeing personal health as part of sustainable living.
Health is not just a matter of luck—it is a skill that can be learned, practiced, and designed. We hope this course becomes one of the most meaningful investments students make during their university years—transforming exhaustion into energy, and knowledge into lifelong well-being.
